How FreeIPTVCheck handles your data — written in plain English, no legalese.

TL;DR

We don't track you, we don't sell data, and we never store your IPTV credentials. Stream tests run in-memory only and are discarded the moment the response is sent. The only data we keep is the email address you give us when you download the PDF guide.

1. Who we are

FreeIPTVCheck (the "Service", "we", "us") provides free browser-based tools to test IPTV streams, convert M3U playlists to Xtream Codes, browse channel lists, and measure connection speed for IPTV streaming. The Service is operated as an independent project and is not affiliated with any IPTV provider, application or hardware vendor.

2. What we collect (and what we don't)

We deliberately collect as little as possible. Here is the full list:

What we collect

  • Your email address — only if you submit it to download the IPTV Setup PDF guide.
  • Basic server logs — IP address, user-agent and timestamp, kept short-term to detect abuse and rate-limit API endpoints. These logs are not linked to your identity.
  • Local browser storage — your light/dark theme preference, stored in your own browser's localStorage. This never leaves your device.

What we explicitly do NOT collect

  • ❌ IPTV credentials (server URL, username, password) — never stored, never logged, never written to disk.
  • ❌ M3U playlist URLs — processed in memory, discarded immediately.
  • ❌ Channel lists or stream content — we don't keep what we extract.
  • ❌ Browsing behaviour — no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no heatmaps.
  • ❌ Cross-site tracking cookies.
  • ❌ Personal identifiers beyond what you actively submit.

3. Your IPTV credentials

The IPTV Checker, M3U to Xtream Converter and Channel Viewer tools accept stream URLs and Xtream Codes credentials (server, username, password). Here is exactly what happens to that data:

  1. Your browser sends the credentials over HTTPS to our API endpoint.
  2. The server holds the values in memory only for the duration of the request (typically under 5 seconds).
  3. The result is returned to your browser.
  4. The credentials are garbage-collected and never written to a database, log file or analytics service.

We never re-use, share, sell or analyse your IPTV credentials. If you are still concerned, you can verify this yourself — the entire codebase is auditable on request and the Network tab in your browser will show you exactly what is sent.

4. Email collection (PDF download)

The only form on the Service that collects personal data is the IPTV Setup Guide PDF download. When you submit your email:

  • Your email + the timestamp is stored in a single private file on our server.
  • We use it to send you the PDF link and, occasionally (at most once per quarter), to notify you about a major new free tool we have released.
  • We never sell, rent, lease or transfer your email address to any third party.
  • You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email or contacting hello@freeiptvcheck.com — we will delete your email within 7 days.

5. Cookies & tracking

The Service does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies. There are no cookie banners because there is nothing to consent to.

The only browser storage we use is localStorage for your theme preference (light or dark). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

6. Third-party services

We use a deliberately small set of third-party services. Each is listed below with the data it sees:

  • Google Fonts — Loads the Inter font and Material Symbols icon set from fonts.googleapis.com. Google receives a standard HTTP request including your IP address. Google's privacy policy.
  • Hosting provider — Standard server logs (IP, user-agent, request path, timestamp) are kept for security and performance monitoring. These are not used for advertising and are auto-deleted after 30 days.

That's the complete list. No analytics, no advertising network, no tag manager, no chat widget, no email tracking pixels.

7. Data retention

  • IPTV credentials — never stored; in-memory only for the duration of a single API request (~5 seconds).
  • Email addresses — kept until you ask us to delete them, or until the project is shut down.
  • Server logs — auto-rotated and deleted after 30 days.
  • Theme preference — stored in your browser indefinitely; you can clear it anytime via your browser settings.

8. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are located in the European Union (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you have specific rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access — Request a copy of any data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — Ask us to delete your email address.
  • Right to object — Opt out of any email we send.
  • Right to data portability — Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Right to lodge a complaint — With your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@freeiptvcheck.com. We respond within 7 days and there is no fee.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through the Service, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we materially change this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, if the change is significant, post a clear notice on the homepage for at least 30 days. We will never reduce your privacy retroactively without telling you.
